Description of Event

 The AIA San Mateo County is pleased to announce our second annual Fall Lecture Series. This year we are proud to present leading pioneers that have had a significant impact upon housing design. We begin the series with David Baker, FAIA, followed by Professor Michael Pyatok, FAIA, Professor Emeritus Donlyn Lyndon, FAIA, and concluding with AIA Gold Medalist Peter Bohlin, FAIA.

The series will be hosted at the SAN MATEO PUBLIC LIBRARY.

ADMISSION IS FREE.

Lyndon conducts a consulting practice dedicated to the design of buildings and landscape that make good places. Eva Li Professor Emeritus of Architecture and Urban Design at UC Berkeley, he draws from an extensive background in education, publication and practice. He remains actively involved in The Sea Ranch, CA where Moore Lyndon Turnbull Whitaker were the architects of Condominium One, now on the National Register of Historic Places. The Sea Ranch, “50 Years of Architecture, Landscape, Place and Community,” co-authored with photographer Jim Alinder, will be published in a revised edition this fall by Princeton Architectural Press.
