Restoring an Eichler Prototype: Tour and Talk restoration of the Eichler X-100 Prototype

Location:  1586 Lexington Ave., San Mateo, CA

The original, Eichler Homes steel-framed Eichler X-100 prototype house was built in 1956 as a steel frame prototype to sell Eichler homes in the new San Mateo Highlands development. Designed by A. Quincy Jones, the house was carefully restored it to its original glory.  Join us to tour the house and talk with the restoration designers and owner.

About the Speakers:

Marty Arbunich- Eichler Network Director

Marty is the Director of the Eichler Network and publisher of CA Modern Magazine. He has helped hundreds of Eichler owners with references and a network to maintain their homes. His relationships lead him to the original owner of the X-100 house and ultimately its purchase.

 

JC Miller-

Principal with Vallier Design

JC oversaw the restoration of the landscaping as well as the fence and gate design.

Lucile Glessner Interior Design

Lucile oversaw the interior designs, color palette selection and overall project management.
