Progressive award winning Redwood City, CA architecture firm is seeking a highly motivated, creative and independent architect/ designer/ senior job captain with technical orientation and design skills for full-time position. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience is required. Experience must include working with project teams on contemporary commercial office and retail buildings, corporate interiors and high end residential projects. Project types include new buildings, adaptive reuse projects, office, retail, restaurant, multifamily, mixed-use, single family residential and estates.
Candidate must have minimum B.Arch degree from accredited architecture program. Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and graphic are required. Experience with all construction types, model codes, ADA and technical detailing skill is essential. Macintosh experience preferred, Proficiency with MSWord, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat applications required including Photoshop. Vectorworks and Sketchup experience a plus.

TCA is seeking a highly creative Designer who is passionate about design and takes leadership in design concept. He/she will use their high level technical/computer design skills to turn ideas into reality.
This ideal individual will have the following qualifications:
Be able to quickly and readily generate concept sketches for multi-family and mixed-use design in a fast paced environment.
4-6 years experience in architecture
3-5 years experience in creating new multi-family residential design.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing.
Proficient in Sketch-Up, Rhino, 3D Studio Max and/or Revit.
An exceptional portfolio representing recent multi-family projects is required.
Ability to work independently and in a team environmentEducation:
A minimum of Bachelors degree in Architecture required.
Licensed Architect preferred, not required.POSITION LOCATION:
The Designer will be located in our new Oakland Office.

Job Overview:
The project architect will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of the construction documentation and administration process from schematic design through contract administration and project close-out. They will be responsible for leading the technical team including in-house staff and external consultants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide strong team leadership.
- Lead team and client meetings.
- Oversee and manage production of construction documents for ground-up core & shell as well as renovation projects.
