The City Council of Redwood City is investigating an all-electric Reach Codes ordinance to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by requiring newly constructed buildings to be all-electric and more energy efficient. The proposed Reach Codes could include certain exceptions.

The City is seeking feedback through an online survey to evaluate how the proposed Reach Codes, and any exceptions, may impact residents, businesses and developers prior to adopting an ordinance. The proposed ordinance is tentatively scheduled to be reviewed by the City Council on August 24, 2020.

Surveys must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 9.
