The City of San Carlos has one vacancy on the Residential Design Review Committee (RDRC) and is looking for a professional architect or designer to fill this position. This is a paid position based on hourly rates. The City’s preference is to have up to three professional architects or designers on contract, who could rotate in as necessary.
The purpose of the RDRC is to review the designs of proposed new homes and additions in San Carlos’ single-family neighborhoods. The committee consists of three members, and generally meets twice a month on the first and third Monday. Meetings start at 5:30 pm and run until 7 pm at the latest. Staff estimates about 5 hours to prepare for and attend each meeting. Eligible candidates are not required to live in the City of San Carlos.
