Sep 21 | AIA SMC Bike & Brew Scholarship Fundraiser

Sorry Folks! This event has been

While excitement was high for this event, availability was low.  So go ahead and put your bikes away for this weekend but keep them warmed up for a future event!  Thank you to all of the folks that stepped up to sponsor the ride (see below). There is a small movement to meet up for a social beer at 1 pm at  Ghostwood in Redwood City.  Everyone is welcome to join…just show up!  Many thanks.

What:  AIA SMC Bike and Brew Scholarship Fundraiser
When: Saturday September 21, 2019 starting at 1 pm at Ghostwood Beer Company | 965 Brewster Ave | Redwood City
Why:  Raise money for the AIA SMC Scholarship Fund
Where:  Begin ride in Redwood City and visit three breweries ending in San Mateo (CalTrain is highly encouraged and 1st + last breweries are near CalTrain stations).

AIA SMC would like everyone to join us for an afternoon of biking in San Mateo County, enjoying local breweries and raising money for the Scholarship fund along the way. This is a social ride, not a race and is for all skill levels…road bikes, mountain bikes, beach cruisers, even bikes with a banana seat and streamers are all welcome! Drinking beer is not required but if you are drinking, you must be 21. The route starts in Redwood City and ends in San Mateo visiting three breweries with a distance of 8.4 miles total each way. First and last stops are near Caltrain stations so participants can either take the train back after the ride or can ride back to the starting point. This is a great opportunity to hang out with our colleagues, enjoy a sampling of San Mateo County’s breweries and help architecture students through biking and being active! So grab your wheels and join us September 21st to support the AIASMC Scholarship Fund. We’ll keep you informed with a route map in the very near future.

Breweries included: Ghostwood Beer Company, Blue Oak Brewing Company, and Fieldworks San Mateo .

Get your TICKET now! $60 for all members and non-members.  $30 EMERGING PROFESSIONALS
