John King, Urban Design Critic for the San Francisco Chronicle and author, was guest speaker at AIA San Mateo’s Fellowship gathering last night at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Redwood City. The evening also marked the annual meeting and elections 2016 for the Chapter.

‘Cityscapes 2’ is the name of King’s latest publishing venture, once again highlighting 50 structures of the famed city to the north. He focused on the ever changing urban landscape there, shared personal insights on structures new an old, and opined on how they help form and evolve the city’s long-established neighborhoods, as well as create new ones.
